Which treatment is right?

Six ways to close a failed vein.
Each of these closes the diseased vein and reroutes blood into healthy veins nearby. They differ in how the vein is closed and in what they suit best.

Radiofrequency Ablation
Radiofrequency energy heats and seals the diseased vein from the inside. Outpatient, local anesthesia, walk in walk out.

VenaSeal
A medical adhesive closes the vein. No heat and no tumescent anesthesia. Typically twenty to forty minutes.

Varithena
A prescription microfoam fills and closes the faulty vein through a catheter or a small injection. No incisions needed.

Laser Ablation
Endovenous laser energy delivered through a thin fiber closes the diseased vein. Outpatient, under local anesthesia.

Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy
An injectable foam closes the vein from the inside, guided by ultrasound. Used alone or alongside another procedure.

An FDA approved injectable sclerosant for spider veins and small reticular veins. A small needle, no incisions.
